A
personal note from Guru Rattana

In my twenties
and thirties, as I pursued my academic and professional
life, it became increasingly clear to me that our current
political-economic system was not leading us to the realization
of the ideals that it gave lip service to. I realized that
the state of consciousness of the men and women was the
key factor in facilitating or impeding real transformation.
Responding to this realization, in my early forties I decided
to devote my life to helping people find high meaning, heal
their wounds, and achieve higher states of conscious awareness
by connecting with the love in their own hearts.
In l986
I began giving empowerment workshops on The Art and Science
of a Successful Woman, Relax and Renew, Quick Stress Reduction,
Meditation for Modern Living and Sexuality and Spirituality.
I also collaborated with one of my students, Ann Marie Maxwell
to write four Kundalini
yoga and meditation manuals which were some of
the first published on this heretofore unknown technology
brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan.
In my late
forties, my creative gift for writing moved to another level.
I began passionately writing essays in verse format. These
books, of which The Destiny
of Women is the Destiny of the World is the first
to be published, now total more than twenty. These books
on women, men, relationships, the soul, ecology and the
state of the world explore how to embrace our humanity,
process our emotions, and elevate our consciousness ie.
heal ourselves and the world.
Now in my
early fifties, my dream is to connect more profoundly with
the Divine, open my heart to myself and others, share my
wisdom and love with the world, and expand my collaboration
with others in creating a peaceful future as we honor the
feminine power in both men and women.
